To create a Meta Pixel, first go to the Events Manager.
Click Connect data to associate the data source, select the Web site, and then click Connect.
Add a descriptive name for the pixel (up to 50 characters) and click Create Pixel. The pixel is now created and cannot be deleted. Enter your website URL and click Check. The system will tell you if your website can quickly set up a pixel and associate your data through a partner integration (such as Shopify, WordPress, or WooCommerce).
Next, choose how to link your website. There are two options. You can choose “Meta Pixel and Conversions API” to set up both the conversion API and the Meta Pixel code (the system default setting option) or “Meta Pixel only” to set up the Meta Pixel code only. After confirmation, click Next to continue.
Take Shopify website as an example. After creating Meta Pixel code, you can quickly install the pixel code on your Shopify website through partner integration.
Copy the Pixel ID, then go to the Shopify website backend, find the preference settings, fill in the pixel ID in the Facebook Pixel settings box, and click Save.
Go to the Test Event tool of the Event Management Tool, enter your website URL to test the browser event,
Whenever a page with the Pixel base code installed is loaded, fbq(‘track’, ‘PageView’) will be called, which will be tracked as a PageView event in the event management tool. If you see a new PageView event, it means that you have successfully installed the Meta Pixel pixel code on your website.
